Duck, duck, TURKEY!

This is doubling as both my Happy Thanksgiving picture and an entry for: The Thanksgiving Extravaganza

Story:
    "This looks fun!" Madison said, scrolling through a list of shows. "But I need a partner..." She raised her eyebrows at Sandy and the older girl leaned over her cousin.
    "A turkey chase?" She said unenthusiastically.
    "Yes! A TURKEY chase!" Madison replied. Then, "Pleaseeee!"
    Sandy sighed, "Fine, but we do it on your horse, okay? None of my horses are going to be made into a turkey rodeo horse."
    "Yes!" Madison said. "This is why you're my favorite cousin!"
    Behind them, in the kitchen, Macy looked up, "Hey! Watch it!"


    "...set...go!"
    Sandy tapped her heels against the furry black and white pony's side and he leaped forward. He was excited about all the activity; jumping and tossing his head. But at least the turkeys didn't seem to bother him. In fact, he marched toward a pretty little hen with his head down and ears curiously forward. He basically guided it into the closed off area on his own. Once there Madi instructed Sandy, "It's all about the prep. Turn him around."
    Sandy spun the pony in a half circle and halted him, meanwhile, Madi climbed up on the stallion's back, crouched down, and pointed at the turkey, who was not bothered by the scheming girls or chubby pony. "Okay, now what?" Sandy asked, lowering her hand so Muse could have his head. He stood still, though, his ears back as he listened.
    "Now..." Madi said, "We pounce!" And with that she plopped her bottom onto the rump of her new pony and slid down like a strange slide and landed right behind the turkey. But the smart little bugger was already up, darting across the small area, with Madi charging after it, yelling, "This was not the plan! This was not the plan!" while Sandy buckled over laughing and Muse? Well, it wouldn't be so far fetched as to imagine he rolled his eyes.
